Default Problem with Cruise Control

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 laramie with the 5.2/318 motor and the cruise control recently stopped working. I did already take the servo motor apart and checked out those pins that can corrode over time but they were clean and I don't know if their is a fuse for the cruise control either. I don't have any manuals to look for such information. I wonder if anyone could let me know how to go about troubleshooting the cruise control. The truck also has over 225,000 miles on it if it matters any. The cruise control worked perfectly until a week before the transmission went out but now have the transmission fixed.

Not sure about 2001 as I have a 96. I assume you have checked the vacuum tube thoroughly. Cannot tell you anything more than there is a thin hose and mine went bad and was an easy fix for mechanic. LOL

+1 - had the same issue on my '96 Ram - the long vaccum line that feeds the cruise control diaphram on my truck had a break in it. I patched the line break using some rubber vaccum hose and got it working again.
