It will be the one after the catalitic converter..could be a Cat clogging or maybe in the need of a tune up. As for Bank is the side of the engine it comes from sensor 2 is usally the one down stream from the cat. If it is a CA truck you have 4 sensors if not it should only have 2. You can remove the sensor use some brake cleaner on it clean it really well and try it again. if it fails again replace it. Some one on here has had good luck with the cleaning I never had.

Thanks for the info !!!

right after I posted my question I had the oil changed and I reset the code and it's been OK .it was over due for an oil change do you think it was the build up of hydrocarbons in the oil ?????
here in pinellas county FL we used to have emissions testing I failed once so changed the plugs wires the cap & roter ,air filter and I filled it with super unleaded. and it still failed so I called my dad he said change the oil and filter (I said ya right !!!!) so I changed the oil and filter and brought it in for the third time and it passed with flying colors.do you think the same thing is happening with this truck?? do you know if the o2 sensors go bad often or you think I have a engine problem, the engine only has 10k after rebuild and I put on a new cat converter at the time of the rebuild, part of my engine was inside the old one, ya I can laugh about it now!! but read my posts from back in february I was crying.

thank you for your help!!!

On my 1998 Dodge 5.9 I also had a code it said it was the high. On my truck the high sencer is on the cat converter and tord the back the second sencer which is the low. You my have a sencer on both ends of the y pipe which is called the cross over pipe. The side with the number one cylinder should be the high.
