Yesterday the front ujoint on my rear driveshaft went out while i was going down the highway, in the process my transfercase was split in half and the rear of my transmission case was cracked. The pickup is a 2001 ram 1500 4x4 with a automatic tranny and a 360. My questions are what transmission do i need to replace mine with? What year of pickups can i get this from and are all the transfercases from 94-01 1500's the same?

97ish or later(till 01) 1500 auto. It's a 46re.

Early models had the non computer controlled 46rh.

You could also find an auto out of a v8 gasser 2500.
