P-1693
Hey all I have a 2001 Ram 2500 with a p1693. No other codes.
Not much previous history that I can give, except for what I have done.
My uncle bought this truck about 2 years ago.
He has a CCD message in the over head console.
Last year we discovered the transfer pump had crapped the bed. I installed a F.A.S.S. system, Removed the old block mounted transfer pump and left the connectors for the WIF and the power & ground disconnected.
I took the truck to a local dealer and had them scan the JTEC controller, only to be told what I know. I have a p-1693.
Today I replaced the sending unit, (what a surprise, right) installed a cold air intake, waiting on the parts to install a 5" exhaust.
I got to thinking about this code, could it be possible seeing that I have the P&G left open from the transfer pump, could that be causing the code ?
Any advise y'all could pass on, would be helpful. Any other questions I will be glad to answer.
