I am getting ready to do the same thing - how did it end up working out? Did you have to remove the skid plate for it to fit?

Revisiting an old post here, but I am thinking of getting one of the Mopar deep trans pans.

1) Anyone know if this deep pan will still work with the factory trans skid plate, or will that have to come off for the pan to fit?

2) Anyone know what size the sending unit hole is?

No, the skid plate was not in the way at all. Turns out, the factory skid covers the transfer case, not the trans pan.

Your local tranny shop should be able to hook you up with a Trans-Go for a pretty decent price. I know thats where I will get mine. Northern Autoparts used to have alot of that stuff for resonable prices, but I'm not sure if they offer one for our trucks or not.
