Default 95 gasser won't go in gear

95 1500 4X4 360

Ok so today I to move my truck it was in a field for a few days well I was going forward in 4lo I put it in park for a second then I tryd 2 go back into drive nada I can't get it to shift @ all.I. Tryd manually shifting it. Nada happened. It has never slipped Idk any trouble shooting ideas? Thanks<<<<EDIT>>>>> I checked the fluid it was bone try,my p.s. Pump was giving me.problems & right before the trans acted up my buddy said that p.s. Fluid was leaking well now with the fluid being gone I'm thinking that was what was leaking.
Well I poured in a few quarts & it went into gear but for only a minute or so then nada again. So I checked for leaks & found none, I then filled it back up & was a able to Drive maybe 200 feet then it went out again Everytime it goes out you can here a whine I checked fluid was full then I poured more in there & was able to go another 100 feet,so I'm lost Idk if there's some blockage stopping the fluid from getting it to where it needs to be or a pump/vacuum issue or if I just need to do a trans swap.Which would suck as today I also pulled out my built g-body to get ready to fix the trans & it seems my pro built 355 which wasn't even fully broke in when I parked it now has a seized engine. So bad vehicle day. Please help if you can. Thanks

Make sure you are checking the fluid while the truck is running and in neutral, the tranny might be toast from running it dry

I'd drop the pan and see if you see anything out of the ordinary but it ran out of fluid so chances are its not gonna be good.

Well looks like Ive found the problem, seems I have a blown seal I poured fluid in & filled it & it poured out of the drip hole between the trans & motor.I guess i just gotta drop everything & replace the seal.I.dont think it could be anything else atleast I hope not
