Thanks for the replys guys. After getting the pan off and looking at things, I've decided this block isn't worth doing anything quick. For now I'm just going to throw new bearings and high volume oil pump under it. Should keep it going as a backup until I can build my spare motor.
It didn't spin the bearing like I first thought, it just peeled a little material off from oil starvation. The pickup tube was partly blocked like I figured, causing oil loss at idle. Crank still specs good. No damage there thankfully. The cylinder walls are polished to a better than mirror finish with 3 of them showing a little oil glaze in places. That is why I just want to keep it alive for now.
