Default Broken leaf spring

Noticed a bit of sagging on the drivers side, went to check it out and my leaf spring is almost to my tire. Here is a nice picture.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpicjn2gst...28_213243.jpeg

Went ahead and ordered two new spring packs. one for each side. from general spring

http://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_...001_s/1912.htm

That was the cheapest place I could find, went with the 2600# capacity, because bigger is always better.

I did an add-a-leaf a few years back so install should be easy.
But is there any thing I should be worried about?
will going to a larger spring capacity hurt me in anyway?
Any tricks for swapping spring packs?

I'm assuming that leaf is cracked in half and turned outward? It doesn't look factory either. I think you chose the most expensive and difficult course of action. Why not just replace the broken leaf and replace? $20 fix max. Almost certain you have to drop the gas tank to get at the driver side spring bolts

Although you didn't say the price, good on you.
Forman just did the rear packs on his F350. Had a broken main leaf.
Could've cheaped out but new springs with 3" lift fron Standen spring was $400 for the pair delivered.
We did a 5" lift to the front at work and swapped the rear springs.
Sweet. Truck looks awesome for $400.
Plus he can still tow his 5th wheel camper. We built it friday, he was hauling Saturday.

Looks like the AAL is the one that broke. Price is good for complete new packs, but yeh, the gas tank is going to be in the way. I was thinking of doing the same thing but maybe will try to lose some weight first.

Local spring shops should have pre bent material on hand and be able to cut you up one of the same length. Just gotta look around

I never had to touch the gas tank when I swapped my leafs out, quick easy swap...but that's probably the difference between a short bed and my long bed I'm assuming

I have long box 2wd. There is a hole in the frame on passenger side for the front bolt, but how did you get the driver side front bolt out to remove the spring pack?

I honestly can't remember, I'll have to take a peek at it tonight when I get home.
