oxygen sensor
ive got a 1996 dodge 2500 with a v10.
my factory muffler setup was 2 out from the engine, past 2 oxygen sensors, into 2 cats, then one muffler.
i no longer have cats but still have the 2 sensors before the cats original place. This year did not have sensors after the cats.
i know replacing the oxygen sensors increase mpg most of the time and help save the cats but i dont have cats so i was windering if there was a need for new ones?
would it help much
ive got about 125,000 miles and the engine has about 7,000 miles

The pre-converter oxygen sensors have very little to do with the converters. Your computer still uses readings from the sensors to calculate fuel trim, etc.
So replacing them would probably be a good idea if you think they are faulty. It wouldn't be at the top of my list though.
