Default AC Switches to Window Vents when gas is hit

Hi guys,
Got my first dodge truck today. She is a 1996 Ram 3.9 L
decent work truck. first shock I got was it cost me $98 to fill it up, After that I got going when i noticed, That the AC switches to the Defroster when I hit the gas, and when i let go i hear something click under the drivers kick panel and then the AC blows as normal. I did search the forum and google and saw something about a vacuum leak

Anyone have this problem/issue and figured out a fix?
Im in need of this since i live in Arizona

Thanks in advance.

On the main 2nd Gen Forum page, near the mid-upper right of the screen is a dropdown for Search this Forum. Enter "Vents" (minus the quotes) in the search criteria and you should get plenty of hits. This is a common issue with 2nd Gen vehicles that is easily remedied.

Try this link from the search I executed: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/search....archid=5316757
