upgrade adding electric doors need help
hey glad to be here.
OK I have a 2nd gen dodge ram 1500 4x4
I need to wire in the electrics for the doors because I added electric doors to a non electric truck. would like to keep'em that way.
My problem is this,,, no plug so I need to hardwire.. hence the word HARD as in hard part...
What I need is the schematics of the plug showing me what is Positive supply and what is negative.. it would help if I had all the color codes so I can go forward with everything. door locks, power mirrors, window switches, speakers, and I need to join the other door onto it too.. so I'll have to hardwire the other side to this door as well..
Anybody able to assist,, I've been searching the web to no aval..
My boys truck and I'd like to get'er done.. ;-)
Thanks for any and all positive feedback,, don't want no NEG! ;-)
I can do this just give me the codes..

Check the service manual for your year of truck. They are available in the DIY section and have wiring diagrams listed. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html
Just for clarification sake, By electric doors do you mean power windows power locks? As I recall those are a bit more difficult then positive connections

Yep crank door off and electric door on. NO Harness allowance plugs for electric upgrades from factory so has to be hardwired in. No worries I have no fear of electric work. Did my share, just need the codes.. ;-) did it once to my GMC ;-)
Might have to call on and old friend tho because he builds these ambulance conversions from the ground up. He is the wiz.. Oh well lets see how far I get first.. I have another bud too he's an automobile engineer from General Motors.. ;-) But then again... I don't like to bother them. see how I manage first.. electrical was one of my things back in my day.. didn't know how to change a headlight when I started.. left the place as a shift manager and went into tow trucks.. now retired..
thanks for the link will check.. now
