I'm installing new cam and 2.02 EQ heads and decided to port match.

Not sure if it will help much but worth a try.

Very little off the intake ports and a good shave on the exhaust.

Next step match the intake and the exhaust headers.

It may not do much for our engines, but every little bit helps.

It also falls under the umbrella of; if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly.

Ideally you want the exhaust ports in the head to be smaller than the ports in the exhaust manifold, and the intake ports in the intake manifold to be smaller than the intake ports in the head. Looks like you cut a little low on the bottom of the exhaust port...I would not have touched them in that area.

Also make a mark or something so you get the intake manifold installed exactly the same as when you marked for the cutting you did...You don't want to create a lip that will cause any turbulence.

I use a bore scope to line the intake manifold up on my Dakota, takes out the guess work.

Well I'm stuck with em the way they are now. I'll take your advice and scope them when they go on. Guess we can mark this one down as unnecessary. Thanks for the tips Adobe
