I own a 1998 ram 1500 sport 5.2L auto and have been sold a new (from main dealer) high pressure power steering hose fitted with a left hand threaded union on the pump end ! Obviously this part won't fit as the origional has right hand threads on both ends ! I've been told by the dealer that this was a technical update by dodge though i don't understand why ! Has anyone come across this problem before or am i being lied to ? Cheers, Andy.

Cheers for the reply ! I think i need to move countries - cost me £ 165 here in England !!! And it took 2 and a 1/2 weeks to get it !!! And now i have to cut it and fit part of the old pipe and re-flare the end to make it fit - bargain !
