installing RockSolidRamTruckSteering retrofit
After researching on the web for ways to tighten up my steering play I had in my 98 Ram 4x4, I found the retro fit bushing on a forum. Ordered it and prior to getting it in mail, I watched a video of it's install on Youtube. I am a recent triple bypass recipient and though the space available to work on the lower steering column is limited I was able to accomplish this fix easily on the truck. It came with easy step by step instructions and illustrations. Made a huge improvement and made driving my truck less of a workout and more of a joy. Well worth the money and an easy fix for the home mechanic. I give it a thumbs up!
Great job!
I did mine too a while back, put an end to an annoying clunk on bumps and braking or accelerating. I didn't sand down mine enough at first so the steering was sticking and it's a bit difficult to remove after installing but I got lucky and was able to remove and adjust.
