transmission temp light

Default transmission temp light

transmission temp light and overdrive off light coming on. Fluid level high.

And the problem is................................................ ..?

I am not this best at this stuff but sounds like a bad sensor or somethinn gto me. I am sure someone on here can tell you. Look in the truck manual it also will tell troubleshoots in there about the lights.

torque converter... your fluid level being high tells me the TC is not pumping like it should and your tranny fluid is not circulating. when the tranny is in neutral the TC will pump atf throughout the tranny, that's why they want you to check it in neutral. if your fluid level is high, it's not pumping. dont drive it, tow it to a tranny shop and have them look at it.

I'm having this same issue. But just the trans temp light is on. Started Durango, let it warm up for a couple mins, trans light comes on while driving.(super cold out if that helps any)
(My fiance called me and mentioned this. she was driving)

edit: this only happens when the 4wd is on. so I think the 4wd system is going out.


edit: i just drove the D myself and noticed absolutely nothing. I put it in 4wd, 2wd and noticed nothing out of the ordinary.
