Default 1999 RAM 2500 Diesel. won`t start sometimes.

My 99 2500 TD won`t start at all some times, sounds like the lift pump is not running at this point. I replaced the lift pump with a new Fass pump but the issue remains.

Does anyone have a clue what it might be? I believe that the lift pump does not recieve power(12v) while cranking the engine sometimes. If i let it rest for 30mins it might just start again like nothings happened and runs like it should, no powerloss.

^I would suspect your grounds. Clean them good as to remove corrosion and re-tighten your grounds. I have a friend who is a mechanic with a 12 valve and he has had a similar problem to yours, of course he's also had to replace a starter on his. He also cleaned and tightened mine on the 99 at various times. K.

Thank you for the advice. I'll look into it. I also have replaced the starter, and the ignition key cylinder.
