As some of you may know I recently picked up another ram, a 2001 Sport Off Road. Last night I looked at my build sheet and it had Keyless entry listed on it. Well the truck only came with one key. No Fob, no spare, just a key. I was wondering if I picked up a key fob from say the local salvage yard or a parts store what does it take to get it working? I know you can self program if you have one working one already, but what if you don't?

 

From what I`ve been told you have to order the key from the dealer, then the dealer needs to program the key.
