Question Starting Problems

2000 Ram 1500 5.9L
When cold, I need to continuously crank the starter and pump the gas pedal to get the engine started. The engine seems to want to start, but chugs and sputters. Some things I have read say that it is the cam position sensor and others say that it's the fuel pressure regulator... Any help??

Try turning the key to on (u should hear the fuel pump pumping) but not trying to start twice then start engine if it turns right on a fuel injector may be leaking down causing low pressure.
