Nope. Pretty sure the transmission needed rebuilt, I put some Lucas in it and it then seemed to shift fine, which led me to believe it was probably on its last leg. I sold it right after (i told the new owner about the trans issue) so I'm not sure what ever became of it. I replaced the line that had the check valve from the factory with a line without a check valve, so that wasn't the issue - although a check valve malfunction may be what put the transmission in the damaged state that it was in

With 260,000 miles on it, a complete rebuild was likely needed, along with a replacement torque converter. Jmopar20, were you the original owner or did you pick the truck up used?

I bought it used. It's probably also worth noting that it had a pretty good size lift (not sure the height but it was definitely more than 6 inches) and 37 inch tires, so if it still had the stock gears underneath there's no doubt that was hard on the transmission as well

No doubt! Since it's used and the maintenance is likely unknown, with that many miles on it, you probably got more than your money's worth out of it.

Thanks for adding context to your story.
