I just checked my '96 donor housing out back - definitely 1/4-20, at least for a '96 MY

 

Thanks for checking. When I replaced the vacuum control pod in my CAD recently on my '96 Ram 2500, the threads were indeed 1/4" x 20, as I ran a tap through each hole to clean up the threads before installing new bolts with anti-seize.
