OP,
Like what merc225hp said led bars barely draw anything. It would be nice (for me at least) if you would post what power requirements are needed for the lights you are looking at.

If you haven't already walked through the diy section, do so. There is a couple diy wiring's in there that are pretty good.

Merc220+5hp would you let us know which brand(s) of battery isolator(s) you find best for a "cheap" dual battery setup

Batt isolators are not the best in the world to use as they scrub off/use power just to work. This is less a problem with a charging system (alt) that uses an external regulator like ours do (pcm). A isolator must match in amps to the alts output, many under size thats not good. We ended up going to a ACR (Automatic Charging Relays).

Argo worked good for us, look for a diode isolator. A good one will be $100+ say 160 amp.
