Default Swaybar Frame Mount Bolt Size

Does anyone know the size of the bolts that hold the sway bar to the frame? I took it off last year, and now I want to put it back in with new bushings. Even if you could peek under your truck and check the bolt head to see if it is metric or standard to give me a start would help. Here's a picture of the mount the bolt holds to the frame.

I'm almost certain that its a metric bolt. When I installed poly sway bar frame bushings and the bracket for the steering stabilizer, I had to remove and replace these bolts with the new longer bolts that came with the steering stabilizer.

I believe they are metric. I'm pretty certain that they are hardened steel. My truck had a broken sway bar bushing bolt and I had to drill it out and re-tap the hole. That was a pain. I tapped it to standard thread though, used a Grade 8 bolt as well.

Thanks. All my spare bolts are standard so I don't have any to test, but I went to the dealership today and ordered some along with some new radiator clamps. The dealer's computer didn't show what size they are but I'll measure them when they come and post it for future reference.

I ran a tap thru the bolt holes to clean up the threads and I'm almost certain it was metric. The companies that sell the steering stabilizer kits should be able to tell you what size the extra length bolt are that come in their kits.

Thanks, Merc. Not recalling that bolt size was driving me crazy, too.

No problem, the bolt size is not shown in the 94-96 parts books but is shown in the 97+ books.

Thanks, too bad I already ordered some haha. Hopefully they don't rip me off at the stealership!
