I have a 98 1500 5.2. How do i tell which transmission I have. I am looking to get a new one and after that build me an engine so I am looking for a really good beefy tranny. Any help would be appreciated. Also has anyone ever adjusted the shift bands on a automatic tranny and if you did did it make a difference.

 

46RE, it should be listed on the equipment information sticker. It's either in your glovebox or on the underside of the hood.
