Has anyone ever put hood pins in there 2nd gen, I have them in my drag car but it has a lift off hood&came with the spots for the pins already there&I just removed the bump stops& they lined up perfect. But the core support on my cummins has 2 bump stops but they do not have threaded rubber to unscrew, they have a long screw going through the robber and they have a bit of a pitch to them.
I'm just looking to see if anybody has ever done them on the front and if so how and where did you locate them? Any pictures would be great. I'm sure I can figure it out , but if I have a little bit more of a nudge in the right direction it would be great because it's supposed to get down to about three degrees I believe and my shop is full so this is something I have to do with just the doors open to my shop in the front end of the truck in there.
The only reason I am doing this is because the previous owners kid put the truck in neutral & ran it down a hill and hit some trees since I do body work I got a good deal on it partial cash partial paint job and was able to reshape and save the core support and put new fenders on but the hood latch is just funky and I sold my powerstroke and my other ram so all I got is a bunch of motorcycles and I can't take the family out on those obviously. Anyway I'm ranting any ideas? Thanks
