I agree with Ramman18. That's why I mentioned that I took my truck to a shop that specialized in truck alignments and was not reliant on a computer controlled alignment machine.

On our '09 2500 it was a combo of a bad (tight) axle U-joint and a frozen upper ball joint.

Couldn't tell the upper ball joint was froze up until we dropped the tie rod, and tried to turn the knuckle by hand.

It just got gradually worse, and my dad had an alignment done (by a truck shop) and then finally the dealer got the part for the tie rod recall and replaced it.

Still wandered. Wasn't until we put it on the lift and started looking at everything, that we found the bad axle joint and ball joints.

Truck had under 50K miles on it.
