'94 V10 no start code 11???
Here is the short story: Basically my tow vehicle only. Was parked for about a month, and the battery was weak, went to charge and it would not hold. Purchased a new battery and had to put it in when it was raining to move it (it had to be moved to get to a boat I was selling) started up, I let it idle for a couple of minutes, shut it off. Next day would not start. Turns over fine, won't start. Give it a shot of starting fluid and it will sputter until it runs out of fluid. Replaced the fuel pump, still the same. Checked the relays and they are ok. Anyone have any idea? I have fuel pressure at the Shrader valve on the fuel rail also. I read the codes and got a code 11: No distributor reference signal detected during engine cranking. Check the circuit between the distributor and the PCM. The V10 is distributorless and the wires connect directly to the coil. Does anybody know what this means? Crankshaft position sensor maybe? Bad coil?
Your distributer reference signal on the V10 is sent from a camshaft position sensor located on the timing chain case cover on the front of the engine and detects notches in the camshaft sprocket then sends the signal to the pcm to help determine timing. If I remember right it should pulse from .5 to 5 volts as the camshaft sprocket notches pass the sensor.
Actually, the voltage at the camshaft sensor should be above 7 volts (max 10 volts). Same goes for the crankshaft sensor.
The name of your code is wrong...it should be: No Crank reference signal at PCM. That explains why I couldn't find it in my book. [X(]
Here's some general information on the code and possible fixes: http://dodgeram.info/Engine-Gas/OBDI/Fault-11.htm
If that doesn't help, I can go through my V10 diagnostic manual and type out a V10 specific procedure. But it sounds to me like you have a bad crankshaft position sensor. It's located in the side of the block on the passenger side in case you were wondering

Thanks alot for the help. Thats what I was leaning towards, crankshaft position sensor, something telling the PCM not to fire the injectors. I'll let everyone know how it goes Saturday.
Thanks
