brake bleed dribble
95 1500 w/rwal. so the the brakes have been feeling spongy so i figured i would bleed them. I have bled brakes on a lot of cars but this ram won't give up the fluid. wife pumps them up and holds down the pedal and I get nothing when I crack the bleeder. turned the truck on and did the same and only got a little dribble. is there something I am missing here? I tried both rears and then drivers side front thinking maybe I could get something out of the closest brake but just a little dribble came out. thanks in advance, Joe
In my case the hose was acting like a bit of a 1 way check valve, so over the course of the day, during city driving my front left caliper would seize up.
I second this. I replaced a caliper on my caravan thinking it was seized, until I went to compress it and couldn't. I popped the hose off the caliper completely and pumped the brakes, and still had no fluid coming out. Replaced the hose and was up and running.
