Default some park an shift problems

I have a 97 ram 4x4 318 I'm about to do a transmission rebuild it's a 46re my problem is I have to force it into park to remove the key and it won't engage so I to put something behind the tire or find a good spot it won't roll then it started shifting funny from 2ed to 3ed I have to let off the throttle for it to shift or it will free rev and won't shift becomes a pain trying to get up to speed on highway an I live in tristate ohio kentucky and west Virginia not much flat land around here so it shifts alot so what I was wondering is this something I could fix relatively easy or should I put it in the shop an advice on what to do to it to make it tuffer for the next go around I don't want to do it again I'm putting more money in the transmission then I have in the truck

Get the updated/hd gov pressure solenoid, borg warner transducer.

kolene steels, red frictions, maybe a tfod shift kit.

Check the linkage. Might have come loose? Or something may be cracked and flexing too much.
