Default Gee, wonder what this could be???

Just drove from Florida to upstate NY with my '14 CTD for some trout fishing and to visit my dad who has an '01 RCLB 5.2 4x4. Ain't seen the old man in 10 years, so anyway I aint there 15 minutes and he asks me if I might know what's wrong with truck?

Tells me it's losing about 2 quarts of oil between oil changes, no visible leaks, doesn't smoke like he's burning a lot of oil. Pings when going up hills and an overall lack of power.

Hmmm, looks like I'm ordering and installing a Hughes Plenum kit for my "vacation", LOL...

Oh btw, averaged 24.18 mpg hand calculated with my 8000 lb. CTD 4X4 on my trip up. Not bad, eh???

Plenum kit and PCV valve sounds like a good bet for that issue.

Yep, looks like I'm giving up one of my fishing days. Gonna convince him to pick up tune up parts while waiting for Plenum kit to get here. Perfect time to get at cap, wires, etc. while I have the manifold off...
