Security system disable
I've searched around for this issue and haven't found much.....
I desperately want to disable my alarm / security system on my '01 Dodge Ram 1500. I pulled the security relay under the hood a few months ago, but I still get an alarm sometimes when unlocking the truck with the key or the fob?? Usually when I press the unlock on the FOB or open the door.
I just want the dam thing out! Read something about cutting a wire on the CTM? But not a whole lot of info to go on to just start snipping wires.
Oh yeah, it is the factory alarm system, not aftermarket.
Thanks for any help.

A dealer or someone with a DRB 3 can go into the central timer module and disable "VTSS".
One thing you may run into down the road though. Many times if a PCM is without power, it can wake up in an armed state and cause a no-start. Then you will have to get it Enabled again.
