Default Throttle Body Throwing Codes

I installed an aftermarket throtle body this weekend on my 01 5.2. The improvements were great, however, since I installed it the check engine light has come on. I disconnected the battery and it went away but after five starting cycles, it came back. Disconnected the battery and same thing again. Checked the sensors and they are all fine. Has anyone ever come across this? I am putting it on the computer tomorrow but was hoping that someone may have some input.

yes, check the vacuum lines on both sides of the intake for cracks. it might be possible that you elbow'd one of them during the install and cracked one of them.

I checked on a tech site and it says something about a leak detection pump being a possible cause. But I have never heard of one, and it is not in my Haynes manual. I'll go take a look at the hoses.

I'll have to remember this for this weekend when I install my TB from Dan. I've had the darn thing for awhile and I finally get a chance to put the darn thing on!

No cracked hoses that I could see. Any idea which hose in particular would send this code?

It's not necessarilly going to be a particular hose. It could be either of the hoses it tripping this code. The crack or break could be small enough for you not to see with the naked eye. Sounds like you have some troubleshooting to perform on the hoses.
