Have you checked the fuse for the A/C clutch? When I bought my truck a couple months ago the A/C didn't work. It had blown the fuse for the A/C clutch. New fuse blew immediately, tried a fuse 5 amps bigger blew that immediately. So I grabbed a compressor out of a parts durango I have since they both had the same parts number, charged it and it works great now.
