Default Drive shaft boot

I was victim to a prank a ziptie around my drive shaft! I laughed when I found the mysterious clanking noise! But in the attempt of cutting off the ziptie I accidentally put a pin hole in the rubber boot coming out of my transmission. Is this a big deal out can it be ignored the home is maybe enough to stick a pencil lead in? Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like you clipped the dust seal. The oil seal is in farther right behind it. Just clean the around the hole and cover it with some silicone. This will keep out any contaminates.
