So I've gotten mixed answers about this and here's what's going on. I have a 2001 1500 with the 5.9. What I am wondering is what year motors could I pull a fan and fan clutch from to put on my truck. When I've called places and asked if the have anything form like '97-'01 they tell me it won't work and that it has to be from an '01. What are your guys thoughts?

 

They are mistaken. You can use a fan/clutch from years 94 to 01 from both a 5.2 or 5.9.
