Default Grinding and jolting

Ok, when i go to turn more than 1/2 way in either direction while in 4wd, it sounds like something upfront is grinding right by each wheel, and my truck starts jolting....i was told a while ago when i asked it was my U-joints, but i just had new U-joints installed, and it still does it...what can be causeing this?

are you on dry pavement? cause thats probably not to good...If not iv always had the jolting and such when i make a sharper turn in 4x4 if im not on a really slippery surface like alot of snow. 4x4 all the wheels have to spin at the same speed and when u turn it kind of binds up everything and makes it hop alittle bit.

I agree about the jolting, but a grinding noise is cause for concern. Check you wheel bearings and the gear lube in the front diff. Any bits of metal floating in the gear lube and its time to pull the cover and see what came loose.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but in reply to shott8283 , The transgo rocks!!!!! Quick soild shifts and no overlap. It was installed during an overhaul by a friend of mine that works for a Dodge dealer. Make sure if you install one to also install the Sonnax pressure regulator valve and the mannual valve. They will help stop the reverse buzz and converter drain back issures w/ these trannys.
