1.7 rockers
I bought my Harland Sharp 1.7's from summit. I'm sure you could probably find them cheaper somewhere but I wanted the reliability and support of ordering from a well known business. Didn't really notice much other than a quieter valve train in my truck but once the headers went on, HUGE improvement. I've driven these trucks stock, with headers, with 1.7's and now with both. The most noticeable improvement was running both together. They compliment each other well and I wouldn't waste my money on one without the other.
Headers are already on the list. Gibson ceramic shorty headers and Gibson super truck exhaust system. Already did the plenum mod as well. And looking into buying a new k&n intake as the previous one split. And getting cylinder heads ported polished and valve job.
I have chrome Gibson shorties on mine. (Too cheap to buy the coated ones at the time) Make sure to buy actual header bolts or you will hate life when you go to bolt them on.
Sounds like you have a pretty solid plan. I would have left the intake alone from past experience but you might enjoy the higher power band.

An actual header bolt has a smaller, shouldered head on it. Pretty much a requirement with the Gibson shorties. There are 2 bolts on each side that are a real pain with a regular bolt (wrench doesn't fit). Look up Hedman hedder bolts 09005

Basically, yes. I used regular grade 8 hardware for mine and had to clearance a few washers and the 1/2" box end wrench didn't fit half of them because of the close proximity to the primaries at the flange. Sorry I drug your thread off topic, just figured I would save you the headache and cut install time in half.
Don't bother getting the stock heads worked on, they are either cracked now or will crack...They crack between the exhaust and intake valves.
