Long Tube Header install
I picked up a set of Pacesetter 70-2213 headers on cyber monday for about $200; pulled the trigger and got lucky with good weather for the duration of the project.
What you will need:
Welder, chop saw, grinder, files, a big hammer, and excessive beer.
First remove factory exhaust. Sawzall made quick work of the exhaust pipe from underneath, but the exhaust manifold removal was 75% of the time it took to complete this project. Most of the bolt heads were rusted away where I couldn't get a socket on, so I had to weld a nut or bolt to the end for grip. The bolts closest to the firewall were a b#### to reach and of course the most difficult to remove.

The headers come with no provision on the collector; you decide how you want to connect it. I welded some 3" collector rings on.

Once I finally got the old exhaust completely removed, the Pacesetters fit great, except that the drivers side collector exits 8" in front of the transmission cross member. So I welded up several sections of 2.5" mandrel bends from Summit to snake down and around the front driveshaft and over to the passengers side. Gave the cross pipe several coats of VHT header paint to test how well it doesn't work.

A new Flowmaster catalytic converter just arrived from Summit so that will be hooked up the the back of the crosspipe, but for now the truck is back on the road. Sounds great, definitely picked up some low-end torque from the headers.
I have one of those universal Thrush glasspack mufflers in the center, and then an old Flowmaster 30 series muffler at the rear (located where the spare tire used to be)
And I completed this project without once banging my head on anything.

Nice add of the flanges... and the Y-pipe crossing in front of the cross-member is good if you need room for a CAT on SWB models.
My pacesetter Y-pipe runs behind the cross-member.
