Default HID Retrofit

Recently did a retrofit on my 2001. Non-sport model so stock was 1 bulb headlamps. Had tried Spec-D dual projectors, junk btw, as well as tried wet sanding stock housings, ebay clear 2pc housings with good halogens, and LED bulbs in clear housings. Missed the projector look and wanted the distance and sharpness of HIDs so ordered the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 kit from TheRetrofitSource.com for $280. Came with the projectors, 6500k bulbs, 55w ballasts, ballast ignitors, harness, and shrouds. I picked the Mini Graphite shrouds because i decided to leave my housings chrome and thought the clear clearish shrouds would look cool glowing.

Baked the housings at 270°F for about 7 minutes or so and, wearing gloves because it's hot, used 2 screwdrivers to pull the lens off. From there, shaved the socket down about 1/4-1/2inch down to the inner bevel/second level. The Mini 7.0s are threaded on a rod that will go through the socket and a jam nut/washer combo to keep it secured. Needed to drill about a 1/4" hole just below the socket (though i could do it better now) to thread the bi-xenon shutter wires through. The shroud i used the centering rings and windshield sealant to attach to the projector. Put the lens back on, baked at 270 again for 7-8 minutes, and then pressed it together again with gloves. Sealed the hole for the shutter wires with windshield sealant but i could do it better. End result is awesome and i couldn't be happier. Decided against doing halos strictly for simplicity.

The harness they sell is a 9007 though so i had to repin the connector. Kind of a pain in the *** because the high beam is blue, low beam tan, ground is white. In the process i caught the passenger sue high beam wires on my wristwatch and yanked it out of the projector so no high beam pics lol. Decided that since i gotta tear em open again now I'll add demon eyes. That'll be in 2-3 weeks. Looking to do this on the side as well. $50-100 labor +parts and shipping. If anybody is interested simply pm me about it.
