Dual filament headlights
I have a 2001 I thought I bought replacement bulbs for the headlights. I thought each bulb had the low beam and high beam in one bulb. WTF do I need 4 bulbs to replace them all???
I'm a motorcycle dude 1 bulb covers both high and low. Please advise

Did you blindly buy bulbs or actually research first or at least take one of yours out and look at it? Do you have single bulb or dual bulb headlights? I don't have the truck in front of me but it would be easy enough to look at the front of the truck and tell. I would suggest looking at what you have and go from there..

How many headlights ya got, two or four?
If two, you want 9004 lamps. The 9004 is a dual filament lamp with high and low beams, and the filament is arranged transversely.
If four, the lamps in the outer lights are 9004 and those in the inner lights are 9007. The 9007 is also a dual filament lamp with high and low beams, but the filaments are arranged radially.
Also note that the 9007 IS NOT an upgraded 9004 and won't work that way. Though the sockets are the same, they're pinned differently and, more importantly, reflectors designed for transverse filaments function poorly and deliver glare to oncoming drivers when stuffed with radial filaments, and vice-versa.
