Nope, I "amazoned" it. If Amazon was a physical presence, I would have an IV of it in my arm. (Much to my wife's chagrin!)

But, yeah, amounts to same thing. Can you "ebay" something too?

I know right? They make it so easy. Why go to a store when I can order off amazon and have it delivered to my door in 2 days. Even on Sunday.

Will not fit in units with 2 bulbs".

My truck has only 2 bulbs in the HVAC system, and if they were a fit for my 96 why wouldn't they list a 1996 in their compatibility listing(?).

I came across these listed for a 96 - 06 Jeep TJ (of course there was no 96 TJ):

So I'm going to run to the Dodge dealer and the Jeep dealer this morning to see if they have any in stock, and to try and match them up. We'll see what happens.

Here it is again, different place, with the part number (at least for my '99, I didn't want to download ANOTHER manual).

BTW, I found the part number in the parts manual. But, it's not under lighting, you have to look for the heater and AC controls.

So I went to the Dodge dealer's parts department, and showed him the bulb. He had a drawer beside him, and he pulled one out. That was the bulb; white base and all. It was about $6.00. I got two and replaced them both. They work. Success!

Part number 5013815AA.

Thanks for everyone's help. Hopefully the next person looking for an HVAC replacement bulb for a 96 Ram will find this thread.
