I'm going to spring for the Red Head after having a rebuilt leaking now after just over a year from install. Also pricing out replacing most of the steering components as things are pretty much worn out. This isn't going to be a cheap project. Anyone recommend a make other than Moog for parts?

Some have had good luck with ebay china stuff but that's not for me. I just ordered all Moog parts from rockauto for the x-over 1ton steering. I looked into ACDelco which is more $$$ and Quick Steer which is Moog's lesser brand. There are a lot of brands making TREs but I wanted something quality if I'm doing it. If I spent $200 on cheap stuff and it wears out quickly or the boots tear, why not just get good stuff for $250? So that's what I did.

I used the discount code found here and got all the Moog parts for under $250. With shipping at 44 bucks I'm just under $300. Not bad at all me thinks.

i have the read head steering gear in mine, i went with the 15:1 ration because i have a power steering cooler. the initial purchase is a bit of a pill to swallow, but they were quick about getting the core refund to me. about a week after i sent my garbage gear box in. keep in mind that if you go with borguson, you need to purchase the borguson input shaft too. another 200 bucks.
