I'd just go with a FelPro gasket set if I were you. And yes, the FelPro oil pan gasket is one piece.

I bought the felpro set from Summit, as a head set and then a conversion set.
I'm really happy with them. I did heads and front cover, so I basically took the whole thing apart and put it back together. I have 0 sealing problems, but I'm really careful about how I install them, and I go by FelPro's recommendation for type of sealer and where/how much to use. I don't just goop black RTV on them just to be sure, because that's silly and not logical.

I even used the cork intake end gaskets that come in the set, and they seal fine.

+1 on FelPro... I use REMFLEX for the headers (if fitted).
