Default Proportioning Valve

Yesterday, I got a 96 1500 4x4. It has 146,000 total miles with only a few on a rebuilt motor and transmission. The truck has been sitting in the shed for a couple of years. It's got all kinds of accessories and things but back to the point. Since it's been sitting up for so long, the proportioning valve is sticking. The back brakes are grabbing like crazy. Do I need to get this replaced or will it work itself out eventually? Thanks guys.

Default RE: Proportioning Valve

it is probably an origional part, and while it might work itself out it would be alot easier to replace it.
