My recently purchased 1996 has a couple of gauges that aren't working - The oil pressure gauge and water temperature gauge. What causes these to go out? Could it be that the wires aren't hooked up? Where do these things hook up on the motor? I know Chevy's but not this. I'm guessing the heads for the water temp and maybe around the oil filter for the oil pressure?

 

Normally when a guage quits it is either the sending unit is bad or the gauge is bad.
