Default 98 & 01 Parts Swap

Well I'm getting a second truck, a project truck at that. It's a 98 1500 2wd v8 auto. 98 and earlier have press in ball joints, spindle with serviceable bearings, and single piston calipers. 01 has bolt in ball joints, hub type knuckle and two piston calipers, which is what Id rather have. So, will 01 upper and lower A arms, knuckle with hub and two piston calipers bolt up to the 98 frame and steering components? I went to my local pull apart and checked out a couple 98s and 01s. It looks like it will work but I'm not 100% sure. What do y'all think?

I have a 98, myself. 2wd, so mine is similar. It's gonna be different, you already know that. Looks like the steering geometry is not the same. The dual piston caliper may require a match master cylinder.

I would say, if you can get the stuff cheap and with a possibility of returning it, go for it. My opinion: probably not worth the trouble. Press in ball joints are no big deal (I have a press kit from HF that works well.) The two pot calipers won't make enough of a difference to be worth it. Rebuild the front suspension, brakes, and steering and enjoy the ride.
