Hey guys so I am new to the dodge forums and my question is that I'm looking at doing a 5.9 swap and I know that I need a new ecm when doing so and all that other fun stuff but would the parts from a 5.2 bolt on to the 5.9 like the valve covers and all and also where is the best place to get a new flywheel and clutch to accommodate my 5 speed to the 5.9, also for those who are curious I have a 98' Dodge Ram 1500 SCSB 4x4

 

Sounds like you need a complete 5.9 motor to make the swap easy. For example, I found one off craigslist and installed it into my truck, as the existing motor was so rusted, it was very hard to perform basic maintenance on it. You should be able to find a complete used 5.9 out of a wrecked or bad transmission truck in your area.

 

Why do you want to swap engines?
