HELP 😫 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 sst 5.9 231 d had transfer case
#11
I'm just going by what the mechanic said. I figured it was my transmission because the transmission fluid was pouring straight out on the ground as I was putting it in. That's when I made the decision to have her towed home. So I took her to a transmission specialist...... to be honest I don't have a good feeling from the guy. The truck still drove after the fact so thank God I didn't lock anything up. But according to the transmission mechanic I bent my rear yoke which I grew up in the mud flats of South Florida I've never heard of a rear yoke bending but apparently I'm capable of doing it somehow and that my transfer case did not have a drop of fluid in it. And that's why he saying it needs to be replace that there's nothing wrong with my transmission and I've heard that that overdrive plate can crack just from tightening the bolts so IDK ??????? All I do know is that I love that truck and I'm just ready to throw my hands in the air but I'm not giving up on her I'll do whatever it takes to get it back on the road but I'm really at a loss of what to do so I really appreciate everyone's comments and help and as to the pictures I will be going out there later on to where it's at and I'll take some more pictures and post them ASAP.
