Default Aligning body on the frame.

Hello y'all, I was wondering if any of you had any advice on how I could make sure my cab is aligned correctly on my frame. When I got my truck it was a bit rough, but I've been slowly bringing her back as a labor of love. It looks like the truck had been hit at one point in the driver side rear and it pushed the bed forward on that side and hit the cab and put a dent under the rear window and down by the bottom of the cab. A replacement bed was put on, but it's off to one side a bit. Basically it looks like the cab and front fenders / hood is off center on the frame towards the driver side.

The front bumper is moved over as far as I can to make it to line up, but it's still off as you can see. It's kind of hard to see from this angle, but here is the rear where the cab and bed are off a bit:

This winter / spring, I'm probably going to start getting some body work done to this so I can get back into practice. I have a one owner 73 Firebird that I'm going to start restoring soon and it needs the roof / front A-pillars replaced and I'm a bit rusty on my welding / body work. I figure my truck is a perfect candidate to brush up my skills on in preparation for the bird. I see in the shop manual where it gives reference points for distances between the body mount points on the frame and those will come in handy to make sure the frame is square, but how about the procedure for aligning the cab? I looked around a bit in the manual, but did not see any information forthcoming. I'm going to pull the entire front end off, remove the bed and all the bumpers, and start fresh from there with a tape measure and some patience, haha! Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I guess you would measure from the frame to the rockers or something the same on both sides. Both sides should be the same. We'd probably be surprised at what the factory calls close enough. Maybe a straight piece of steel clamped to the back of the cab. Then use a square or measure to a cross member or leaf spring eye bolts?
