Talking what do firewall grounds run to?

hey guys was wondering if anybody could give me a quick hand, my pdf manual got deleted & i cant seem to find another on quick notice... Anyhow heres a quick back story- about a month ago (couple days after another top end rebuild) i stopped at the store and when i tried to turn her over all my gauges were dead but had full battery and it woudnt start, then in the mileage screen it shoot 'NO BUS' code. i got to playing with the relays on firewall & after unplugging she fired up, iv looked into possible reasons (waiting to grab a scanner from a buddy).. got to checking wiring and i found 2 possible culprits to my problem (apparently above problem comes from bad ground in electrical system) problem now is the wires are still connected to firewall in engine compartment, the other to neg battery terminal connector & i cant figure out where they go for the life of me. can anybody tell me where these wires are meant to lead
4 wires. 1 runs to relays i had trouble with, 2 to back of engine and the 4th is the mystery (shorter lil over 1 ft).

3 wires. 1 runs over to fuse box, 1 to alternator, the other is the mystery

Off the top of my head, that wire from the battery looks to go to a body ground close by. I can check later.

She grounds on the right cowl goes to the rear of the right cylinder head, rear of the right valve cover and to the PCM. There's also a ground to the cowl on the left side that goes to the rear of the left cylinder head. I just went through and replaced all of my grounds on my truck and even added a couple. I was having an erratic hard start and replacing all the grounds took care of my issue. I went overkill with 4 gauge wire though lol

That ground wire your holding in the picture goes to the body 10-12" in front of the battery (if sitting in the drivers seat)

Thx man! its hard to see back there and guess where they might go lol. might just check all my connectors and see if the contacts need replaced or cleaned up. think this could fix the relay/computer problem allot easier than i originally thought

When you pull them off the cowl, use some sandpaper and sand the paint off before you put the grounds back on, then give a quick spray of paint over the top afterwards to protect from rust and corrosion.
