getting bad gas mileage, what are some things I can do?

Thanks for the complements! I can't spend as much time on here as I'd like, but try to help when I can. I'd try to get your plenum fixed soon (at least check it). If it's leaking, it will suck engine oil and plug your new converter, IIRC. Hey You and others know more about it, and can help you. Fixing the speedo will help or at least give you accurate MPG. I would think your new cat would help your MPG. Yes post pictures! We love to see what other people have done.

Yea, I was just still in that Thanksgiving mood this morn when I woke up!
But truck really does run like new now, ever since I found this site. This is a good place for sure.
Oh yea, and I think I'm getting an 07 next week too, so tryin to stay in good for sure now!! Hehe! jk!
It's got a 5.7 though, instead of the 5.9 these have, I think 5.7 is what he said. Like 5.7 lonestar, or bigstar, something like that? Anything I should look for first? Like trans issues in those or rear end recalls, etc, before pulling trigger? He did say pwr steering wasn't acting right. I should prob switch to another topic than this mpg one. Sorry bout that!
Are the Gen3 transmissions better than the gen2's trans reputations?
Anyway, I'll def finish this one before startin anything on that one if I get it. Really do appreciate all y'alls knowledge. Its really not just some lip service like some politicians do, and my ex!.

Yes Sonocativo! Thats it. "longhorn". I ended up buying it. The pwr steering pump isnt working. I guess. It dont turn easily all the way into a turn, while your turning the wheel it becomes harder, then back to easy, then harder, all that during a left or right turn.
The whole interior has like sheetrock dust stains everywhere. Lot of cleaning the interior, if it even comes out of the cloth seats.
Of course none of the tires match, front fender kind of dangling on the driver side, little dent in pass rear door, has a 5.7 hemi though, rebuilt from Saluda Dodge w zero miles! I dont think it came w tow package, it's a 4x2 I think and even though it needs a few things, I already LOVE it! So now I love the gen 2 one y'all helped me with and this one. Which one to sell. Hmm. Hard hard decision!
